Last week, Ebbsfleet Development Corporation – which is overseeing the development of the garden city – gave its approval for the third phase of Redrow’s Ebbsfleet Green site.
This phase will see the construction of 205 two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, with 41 being affordable.
The total Ebbsfleet Green development will provide up to 950 homes in the garden city, plus a village centre, park, sports pitches and a primary school.
A restaurant, pub and hotel are already open on the development and Redrow will soon be building its South East headquarters in the garden city.

“It’s fantastic to have secured consent for a further 205 new homes at Ebbsfleet Green as part of our overall vision to deliver a community of up to 950 homes,” said David Banfield, planning director at Redrow South East.
“The wide range of homes and vital community infrastructure we are providing is appealing to young professionals, families and downsizers, creating a vibrant and diverse community.
“Over 110 properties are now occupied and those who have moved in are benefiting from everything the garden city has to offer, including excellent connections to central London and the surrounding area.”
Ian Piper, chief executive at Ebbsfleet Development Corporation, added: “We welcome the latest phase for the Ebbsfleet Green site, which boasts a wide variety of quality housing for all types of purchasers.
“It is a further sign of the progress that is being made in the garden city to provide more new homes.”
